Great selection of food to choose from! The beef chili was delicious, as was the Greek pita. Parking is a bit of an issue, but not a deterrent. Friendly and fast service! I will definitely be back.

Went here today with my sweetie for the first time. Didn't know how it worked, so I asked some guy who was leaving and he told us that you get into the line around the corner, place your order, they make it and you pay at the end of the line and either go outside or sit inside and eat. They bring it to you. We went outside. He got the Godfather - not on the menu - and I got the vegetarian Ruben. Boy were they good! A bit pricey, but really good. It was nearly $25 for the 2 of us. 2 sandwiches, 1 pop, I got water, and 1 small bag of chips. The service was fast, the people really polite, even though the girl at the register didn't ask us if we knew how the thing worked as we were all confused looking:), but all in all, a great place to go eat once in a while, unless you have a lot of money :) Also, served on a tray with a little plastic basket and the sandwich was wrapped in paper. No Styrofoam, all earth friendly :)

Ordered catering for my husband’s surprise birthday lunch. Everyone at his job thought the food was delicious. Will definitely use them again in the future.

I cannot say enough how awesome this place is. Been coming here since they opened, always have the triple decker turkey & ham. (Best sandwich ever). Then moved away for 10 years, came back and onwers still remembered what my name was and exactly how I liked my sandwich. I have never ever had this level of superior customer service in my life, and the food is beyond amazing. One of Detroit's hidden Gems in my opinion!!

We were at Art in the Park today and a young lady gave my daughter a balloon, on the back it said come and get a free grilled cheese, after a very hot walk we found Mayas Deli and as promised my daughter got her free grilled cheese!! Both of our sandwiches were awesome!! We will be back 💗

Best cornbeaf sandwich I ever had

Reuben was awesome and the chicken and dumplings soup was delicious. They had a gluten free bun available for my wife. She loved her club. Staff was very friendly and the restaurant was pleasant and clean. We'll be back.

I ordered a variety of sandwiches for the family. Everything was delicious. If your craving a Reuben or some pastrami this is the place. We have been back twice since our first trip.

The food is fresh and high quality on a regular basis. Everytime I’ve been there you can TASTE the difference. It’s also affordable and priced fair. You can tell it’s family owned and operated as the service is exceptional. Always a clean and pleasant environment. I will be back!

Maya's is a must-have for me every week. The delicious sandwiches are all great! Homemade soups are very good also. The staff and owners are phenomenal; very friendly.

We went there and had sandwich and a salad. It was good. The people that work there was friendly and fast. My husband love the taste of the cornbread.So did my grandson and he is real pickey on what he eats.

Had lunch here today - awesome food. I ordered the grilled corned beef on rye. The bread was toasted perfect, meat was juicy, and the coleslaw was tangy. Had it with a cup of cheeseburger soup - delicious. Staff was very friendly. Just a heads up - the address is 550 Forest street, but the delis is actually accessible from the back side. Southeast corner. Will be back!

this is a great place to get handmade sandwiches. The dining room is rather small but it is set up for a busy lunchtime crowd who like to carry lunch out or dine-in I will be back.

I've been going to Maya's for over 15 years and the quality of the food and the customer service has been outstanding every time. The employees are always so warm and friendly and they remember you by name. It makes you feel a part of the restaurant. The food is always so delicious and you feel good the rest of the day. The food is always fresh and never greasy. It’s just refreshing. I recommend the Rachel grilled, the Hawaiian Club and the tuna salad.

This was recommended by a colleague and it has become my favorite deli in town. Cannot recommend it enough.Soups are always fresh, sandwiches are made to order, staff is incredibly friendly, and catering is early. LOVE this place!!

My order is usually a Half Pastrami, Half Corned Beef, on Seedless Deli Rye bread. Love this place for lunch, and the staff is the best.

Best deli sandwiches this side of town. We stumbled upon Maya's Deli one day when we were looking for a good sandwich and we are so glad we did. Not only is the food great and the restaurant clean but the staff is top notch, good people. I was in a hurry when we dined in and I left my purse there. The staff tracked me down on Facebook to retrieve it. We love Maya's.

Good quality food. Love the veggie reuben! But they seem to be much more expensive than they should be so it's rare that I treat myself to Maya's. You're only paying for the sandwich (which isn't huge) and a pickle :/ Also PLEASE stop using STYROFOAM! It's 2018!!! They serve your sandwich on it even when dining in... agh. I actually might not be back until they switch to environmentally friendly materials.
